Oil, gas and energy
AI for the work your engineers still do by email.
Certificates, deviations, inspection reports, handover packs. Oil and gas runs billion euro assets on PDFs and inbox threads. We put engineers inside that work and take one workflow at a time into production, under the standards your auditors already use.
Where it pays first.
Manufacturing record books
Certificates matched to order lines as they arrive, gaps flagged weeks before the MRB is due.
Manufacturers, EPCs
Supplier quality and deviations
Deviation and concession emails turned into a tracked record with an owner and a clock.
EPCs, operators
Engineering handover
Document packages checked against the CFIHOS class library before they reach the operator.
EPCs, operators
Maintenance and reliability
Free text work orders read and coded to ISO 14224 failure modes, so reliability data is usable.
Operators
Procurement specifications
Purchase requirements compared with JIP33 specifications and supplier quotes, line by line.
Operators, EPCs
Inspection and integrity
Inspection findings pulled from reports into the integrity system, with a person approving each change.
Operators, inspectors
We already speak your standards.
AI in this industry fails when it ignores the data rules the industry already agreed. We start from them, so what we build is designed to be accepted by your document control, your integrity team and your partners.
IOGP 600-01
Material passports: certificates, heat numbers and test results tied to the physical item, so the record follows the valve.
CFIHOS
Tag, document and property completeness checked against the class library and your project information requirements before transmittal.
IOGP JIP33
Purchase requirements compared line by line with the standard specification, with deviations raised for an engineer to decide.
ISO 14224
Failure mode and mechanism codes suggested from free text work orders, confirmed by an engineer before they reach the reliability data.
IEC 62443
Security review against your OT standards wherever AI sits near operational systems.
EU AI Act
A risk classification and a governance record for every use case, kept current.
Built for high consequence work.
AI stays advisory
Nothing we build sits in a control loop or a safety instrumented function. AI suggests; a named engineer approves, and asset changes go through your management of change.
Evaluated before release
Every agent is tested against a golden set built from your own cases, and retested each month in production.
Inside your security
Your tenancy and your access controls, under NDA, with the security review built into the method.
No lock in
Your team owns the code, the prompts and the tests. No platform licence, and a handover your people can run.
Twelve years inside an operator.
I spent twelve years in Shell's CTO office: digital twins with C3.ai and Kognitwin, 100+ petabytes of seismic data moved to cloud HPC at 35% lower cost, 3,000 developers moved to Azure DevOps three months early, and digital passport work long before it had a standard.
Today I am CEO of Helionics, which is building Helios for the oil and gas supply chain: vertical AI that reads the orders, certificates and supplier emails a project already produces and turns them into one record that every party with permission can verify. The same forward deployed method runs through both.
Disclosure: if Helios is a candidate for your problem, the Diagnostic says so, prices at least one alternative alongside it, and you choose. It is never a condition of working with us.
Do you work with operators, EPCs or manufacturers?
All three, and inspection bodies. The hardest problems sit between them, where one company's record has to be trusted by the next.
Can you work inside our security rules?
Yes. We work in your environment and tenancy wherever possible, under NDA, and the security review is part of the method.
Where do you work?
From Amsterdam, across Europe and the UK, and further afield when the supply chain takes us there.
Send me the one line.
In thirty minutes you will know whether it is worth a business case, and if it is not, I will say so.
